Principals
Till Bruett & Jim Nastus
Referred to collectively as the Nasty Brutes, Jim and Till have lived in DC for a combined 25 years... Jim coming from the mean streets of suburban New Jersey and Till from the pastures of Wisconsin. Their lives intersected on June 11, 2001 during a rousing rendition of Oklahoma at JR's Showtunes Monday.
Realizing they were much better as a duet, they bought an "up-and-coming" row house in the "up-and-coming" neighborhood of Columbia Heights a year later. They spend their time renovating their house, spoiling their Plott Hound, Sawyer, over-planning their next vacation.
To help fund their entrepreneurial spirit, Jim spends his days as an account supervisor for a marketing firm in Georgetown while Till continues the successful run of his own international microfinance consulting firm (www.alternative-credit.com).
Mark Bromley & David Salie
Although it hardly fits their personalities, when David and Mark first started spending all of their time huddling together as undergrads at Georgetown University twenty years ago, their friends and roommates labeled them "Dark." Since then, they've married, attended law school and adopted a perspicacious border collie - for whom they bought a beach house in Rehoboth in 2002. Their frequent clashes over when to leave for the beach on Friday afternoons - and the inevitable annoyance when one could leave early and the other couldn't sneak away from work - eventually drove them to envision a fabulous, gay-friendly bus service for Rehoboth.
For now, Mark and David spend their weekdays in Washington and their weekends in Rehoboth Beach. Both are hoping to tip that balance in favor of living in Rehoboth Beach over the coming year. And when not organizing bus tours, David owns and runs an internet website (www.party2win.com), and Mark works for an international human rights organization to raise the profile of human rights abuses directed at sexual and other minority communities in some of the world's most hostile environments.

FAQs
What is Rehobus?
Rehobus is an entertainment company created to provide a comfortable, relaxing and affordable experience for weekend vacationers traveling from Washington, DC to Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches in Delaware.
When does Rehobus operate?
For now, Rehobus plans to operate from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. We have buses departing on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings from Washington, DC and returning Saturday evenings from Rehoboth Beach and on Sunday evenings from Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches. As the summer progresses, we intend to add additional buses and vary our departure and arrival times and locations to add more flexibility and convenience. We may also add a few post-Labor Day trips to take advantage of the wonderful beach weather in September and October.
When and Where does Rehobus depart and arrive?
Friday Departures: We depart Washington, DC on Fridays at 6:15pm from the Duplex Diner at 18th & U Streets, NW, or you can board at New York Ave Metro Station at the M Street exit around 6:30pm. The ride will take 3 hours, depending on traffic, and leave you in central Rehoboth Beach, at the Rehoboth Fire House (rear parking lot near the recycling). Or we can even drop you off at the Rusty Rudder Parking Lot in Dewey.
Saturday Departures: We depart Washington, DC on Saturday mornings at 8:00 am from Results the Gym (1612 U Street, NW), or you can board at 8:15 am at the Downtown Results (on Connecticut & L, NW), near the Farragut North and West Metro Stations. The ride will take about 3 hours, depending on traffic, and leave you in central Rehoboth Beach, at the Rehoboth Fire House (rear parking lot near the recycling). Or we can even drop you off at the Rusty Rudder Parking Lot in Dewey.
Saturday Return: We depart Rehoboth at 8:00pm from behind the Rehoboth Beach Fire House and will return our guests to the Nellie’s Sports Bar (9th & U, NW), right next to the U Street Metro Station.
Sunday Return: We depart Dewey Beach at 5:00pm from the Rusty Rudder parking lot. We pick up our Rehoboth passengers at 5:30pm from behind the Rehoboth Beach Fire House and will return to Duplex Diner. We can also let you off at the U Street Metro on the way to the Duplex Diner.
Who operates the buses?
Rehobus has partnered with Spirit Tours & Travel, a local, family owned transportation charter company with offices in Prince Georges County, MD. Spirit Tours & Travel is a minority-owned, fully licensed transportation company. Rehobus uses their 2005 Van Hool luxury touring coaches. And look for our logo on the bus this year!
Does Rehobus provide food or beverages?
On Fridays and Sundays, we do offer food. Rehobus is partnering with the Duplex Diner in DC and Lori's in Rehoboth who have created a special Rehobustogo menu. You can order your meals in advance from us and pay for them on-line and they will be waiting for you when you board. If you've never tried the Duplex Diner's cheeseburger or Lori's chicken salad sandwich, you don't know what you're missing. So be sure to order in advance when you buy your tickets.
On Saturday mornings you can pick up some food at the healthy gourmet café at Results Downtown! We hope that you will dine in Rehoboth before leaving on Saturday night at one of our partner restaurants that offers discounts with your ticket. You are also welcome to bring your own food on board. Unfortunately, we are not allowed by law to sell or provide alcoholic beverages to our guests. We provide cups and ice, and will offer soft drinks on board for $2.
How do I get tickets?
The easiest and least expensive way to buy your tickets is by going to www.rehobus.com. All tickets are one-way. However you can buy a return ticket for less and a book of six or a book of ten tickets at an even deeper discount! You only need to create an account with us using your e-mail address and credit card information. On-line purchases can be made up to one hour before departure time.
You may buy tickets from our steward at the departure site fifteen minutes in advance of the departure time. There is an additional charge of $5 for last minute purchases at the bus.
For our current ticket prices, click here.
Do I have to book a date to travel when I buy my tickets?
We can do a lot of things, but we can't help you find a date.
Seriously, to purchase an individual ticket or return trip, you must reserve the day(s) you are traveling.
Our books of 6 and 10 tickets are "virtual" books with a unique discount code. When you are ready to reserve your trip, simply enter the coupon number with your booking and your ticket will be issued. Each coupon number is unique and can only be used once. If this sounds confusing, don't worry. The electronic reservation system will prompt you through this process. We promise it's easy to use - we've tested it on former boyfriends whose various charms never included engaging intellects.
What if I can't use my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable; however they are completely transferable and exchangeable.
You can give your ticket to anyone you wish. Just make sure anyone traveling on your ticket has a copy of the ticket (which you can print for them from our reservation system) or at least the booking number on the ticket.
You may also exchange your ticket for a reservation on another date, provided you make a change to your reservation in our system at least 24 hours prior to the original departure time. Exchanges may only be made on line using our booking system. There is a $6 fee for exchanging tickets. To exchange your ticket, go to the email you received when you bought your original ticket and click on the "exchange" link. If you've lost this email, contact us at or 888 MY RHBUS. Unused tickets that are not exchanged for a future date will be void.
What if I lose or forget my ticket?
You can board the bus with either a print out of your ticket, your confirmation number or a photo ID (assuming you are the person who originally made the reservation). Our booking system will provide us with your name and confirmation number. Just prove to us who you are, and we'll let you on the bus.
Will you operate on holiday weekends?
Duh... of course we will. In fact, we'll even add extra buses if needed. On both Memorial Day and Labor Day we will move our date for the return trip from Rehoboth/Dewey to Washington, DC to Monday. Our departure for the 4th of July weekend will be Thursday, instead of Friday, so you can make the most of your weekend at the beach.
What can I bring on your bus?
We limit our passengers to two pieces of luggage or one steamer trunk plus a hatbox. Actually, we are not worried about luggage, because we know most of our guests prefer to wear as little as possible at the beach. We don't expect any trouble accommodating your luggage. If you have special needs for luggage, please contact us in advance.
Can I bring my bike?
Provided we know in advance, we can accommodate several bikes on the bus. These will be allocated on a first e-mail first reserved basis. But if you don't want to hassle with your own bike, we have also arranged for bike rentals for our guests in Rehoboth. To reserve a bike in advance and have it waiting for you at the bus upon your arrival into Rehoboth, send us an email at
.
Are pets allowed?
We can only accommodate small pets (10-15lbs) that are in portable crates. Your pet will have to remain in its crate at your feet. Unfortunately, we cannot allow larger pets on the bus because the storage area is not safe for pets. Our own four-legged children, Sawyer and Noe, are quite distraught about this. But we're working on some solutions and we'll keep you posted!

Welcome to the Beach Blog!
Our own guest blogger, known so affectionately as the Beach Bitch, will provide you with just a hint of the fun and social scandal that's blowing through the sands of Rehoboth each weekend. But be warned. Like Fox News, our featured blogger and our occasional guest bloggers give you a generous dose of both fact AND fiction. Read it - and YOU decide.
The Beach Bitch also has a unique 12-step guide to a fun-filled weekend in Rehoboth, and tips for spicing up a rainy day at the beach. So stay tuned all summer long for some great recommendations - along with a few stunningly bad ideas, as the Beach Bitch seems genetically incapable of differentiating between the two. We promise the Beach Blog will help you laugh your way into an unforgettable visit to Rehoboth.
